Faye and Paolo asked me to photograph their destination wedding in Italy. And of course I said yes! I always love going back to one of my favourite places to cover a wedding which is Italy. This time it took me to the area of Bologna where we stayed for a few days to explore and make sure there was enough time to get there. As travel with strikes means I need to leave time to get there without any flight cancellations. We were perfect on thew way there but unfortunately our flight was cancelled for the return but luckily I did not have anything to photograph for a few days once back in the UK.

I arrived at their venue Villa Tombolina to such a warm welcome by the manager, being shown around and all the little spots to take the couple. We then started with getting ready photos and into the stunning ceremony. florals by ifiori di Ale were amazing with such a colourful palette and disco balls and planned by Parade weddings. They gave off little light glows throughout the ceremony which was a lovely touch.

What I loved about their day is the pure love and connection everyone had. With their speeches being so emotional for everyone, it provided great photos! as well as the stunning golden hour in the vineyard before the party started!

Covering weddings in Italy is so amazing. And a few bucket lists spots are Portofino and San Galgano abbey to cover in the upcoming years!
