Emily and Oliver married in the stunning Amalfi Coast at the Basilica Di Sant’Eustachio followed by their reception at Palazzo Pascal. We had amazing wedding planners in Francesca and Claire of CF weddings Italy who managed their wedding day to perfection.

I had been with Emily and Oliver for quite some time in their wedding planning journey. As they had planned to have their wedding the same time as my own in 2021. So I did their engagement session in 2020 , having booked them in 2019. So it has been quite some time in the planning and quite along relationship with them as a couple!

It was lovely to head back to Italy again, after having our own wedding in May, I had been to this part of Italy a few times, though not since 2017. We met two days before their wedding to do a couple shoot in Positano before they had a welcome dinner with family. We had a running joke between us all as during their couple shoot I put them in the river, so we said we should do it in the sea in Italy! I had so much fun doing their couple shoot and it was made even more special after all of the trails we had getting to Italy.

They then had a day in between before I met them again for their wedding. I then had gone to a restaurant the night before, Michelin guide recommended! Which I tend had food poisoning from, I was up from midnight to 6am being sick and had a terrible night. Luckily my husband who is my second shooter was with me on this trip as designated driver/assistant. He was not meant to be photographing this day but I really did need the tag team option when I was lacking in energy. The coast was super hot at this time of year and I was severely dehydrated. This has been the first time I have ever been Ill for a wedding and it could not have come at a worse time. I had been so looking forward to their day and it became quite a hard wedding to cover. I was so pleased with how the photos turned out considering the tricky working conditions. Emily and Oliver were so lovely and understanding. And thankful that they still had coverage on the day considering the circumstances. It turns out I must had had quite a bad case of food poising, as with several doctors appointments and even a bowel scan to make sure nothing more sinister was happening. As it has taken around 6 months to start to be able to eat richer foods, dairy was the main issue for a while!

To see these two love birds finally get the day of their dreams was so lovely, the support of the wedding planning team was outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed their day and cannot wait to head back for another amalfi destination wedding.
