Cotswolds Wedding

My name is Emma-Jane and I am an award winning Cotswolds Wedding Photographer. Named as ELLE Top 12 UK Wedding Photographers.

Being able to capture stunning weddings in such a beautiful and unique part of the country is such a pleasure.

My work has a timeless, fashionable feel. but it is not all about the couple photos. It is amount the soft glances, the tears shed and the moments shared. Petite in statue, with an unassuming presence I get all of those little details. As well as being able to direct and organise the moments where needed.

Weddings that you FEEL

Based in London and the Cotswolds- I find myself placed in such a unique position. To be able to capture love stories with the city chic of London’s hustle and bustle. As well as being able to step away for something quintessentially British in the Cotswolds, with idyllic venues and beautiful scenery.

a Cotswolds love story

A wedding photographer with a passion for capturing images that highlight you love, location and family

Wedding Photography is all about emotions, family, connection and love. A time where often, people have come from all across the world. To celebrate and create memories. That is why your wedding photography is so important. To not only capture the day beautifully stylish, but emotively.

It is why I have a blend of editorial and documentary. To be able to uniquely identify those quiet moments as well as pre-empt the moments that might happen quickly. I have years of experience to be able to know when certain things will happen. Knowing when a hug will happen, reading emotions and knowing when to step in or step back. The Cotswolds is also a perfect place for this. With a calm and tranquil space- surrounded by nature and great food! So many of my couples decide to host this day in this idyllic area.

“When we received our photos, I was speechless. Every image felt timeless, romantic, and carries so much depth and emotion. The quiet moments, the big laughter, the tears, the chaos of the dance floor – all of it documented so beautifully and authentically.”

“My husband and I aren’t the most comfortable in front of the camera, but Emma made it easy, guiding us naturally and helping us feel relaxed. Our guests all commented on how brilliant she was at managing everyone and keeping things on track. She completely understood our brief and nailed the style we were looking for. Even when we ran behind schedule, she used her intuition to prioritise the shots that mattered most. “

Cotswolds Wedding Photography FAQ

This really depends on what you like! There are so many amazing wedding venue options in the Cotswolds that couples are spoilt for choice. But start narrowing it down. Such as do you like stately houses? Rustic Barns or something completely unique and outdoors? Booking in a venue viewing is essential to get a feel for the space rather than just videos. See what is included in packages as well as any added extras such as corkage or furniture hire fees. Take a little look at some of my favourite Cotswolds Wedding Venues.

Yes! For every single wedding I do a consult call around a month to a month and a half before the big day. At this stage most couples have a firm schedule but there is enough flex to tweak anything in case we need more or less time to do things. This means you can go back to your venue, caterer or wedding planner to shift anything in the wedding day schedule. We talk about everything from family dynamics, preferred photos, locations and logistics.

Yes, as a Cotswolds Wedding Photographer I have covered many of the locations in the area and cannot wait to explore more! I understand how the sun sets differently in the countryside compared to the city. How it feels working more with nature, the florals at different seasons and if you have any animals on site! As a massive animal lover this is always a bonus for a rural setting!

If I have not covered your venue, I do extensive research online for the best locations, sun positions and arrive earlier on the day to scope this out in person.

So many of my couples tell me this. And they often worry with a fashion style this is not for them. But it couldn’t be further from the truth. It just means I see your day through a certain lens- something creative and fun. But also candid and emotive. For couples I look to provide gentle guidance- because no one wants to stand there awkwardly! A blend of prompts and still allowing you both to be yourself and natural. This is the best way to have polished photos but still showing who you are. I also speak with you about any insecurities you might have, anything you prefer to focus on to make sure you feel your most comfortable. If ay any point you dont like a pose or position we move on.

Quite a few Cotswolds Venues only allow natural confetti. Not even bio-degradable confetti. Which is completely fine. Try not to pick fine confetti such as lavender as this is very fine which does not show well in photographs and can get stuck in everyones hair.

The same goes for the opposite end of the spectrum. So very large petals can fall heavy and look too chunky in photographs. Instead go for a choice of shredded rose petals. Or if you dont want to rip them up pick roses that have smaller heads so that the petal size is smaller. this will fall softer in the air and be captured much better on camera.

I travel across the whole of the UK and abroad. Sometimes depending on my diary anything over a 3 hour drive might require an overnight stay. But get in touch and lets have a chat.

I combine high-end fashion with the intimacy of your love story, creating breathtaking images that are completely you.

My wedding photography is unobtrusive, while still mixing my fashion inspired work to create artistic and creative wedding photography. I look to create timeless images that are stylish and everlasting and that is why I love creating wedding photography in the Cotswolds. It truly is an area of outstanding beauty and a reason why so many of my couples choose to get married here. With rolling hills, maintained floral gardens, creamy warm stone and beautiful architecture there are many backdrops for wedding photography in the Cotswolds.

Here are a few wedding venue options to get you thinking about where to pick for your Cotswolds wedding. Elmore Court based in Gloucestershire is a historic country house which has been turned into an exclusive wedding venue. With a sustainable focus the venue has so much to offer. With 16 rooms within the main house and magical treehouses within the estate. Stratton Court Barn has probably one of the most supportive wedding teams going! With options to marry indoors, in the courtyard or in their woodlands there is plenty of scope here. As well as the most amazing food by their catering teams. While technically not quite in the Cotswolds but just on the border.. I could not leave out one of my fav venues.
