Victoria & Michael’s Elegant Spring Wedding at Ardington House

A Romantic Ceremony at Dorchester Abbey

This spring, Victoria and Michael celebrated their love in the most timeless and elegant way—by exchanging vows at the breathtaking Dorchester Abbey. We started the day at Ardington house where I captured both Victoria and Micheal getting ready in the house. This is so easy to be able to go between both of them. Once they were ready, we headed off to the ceremony. Nestled in the Oxfordshire countryside, this historic location set the tone for a deeply personal and visually stunning wedding day. The grandeur of the abbey’s architecture paired with the intimacy of the ceremony made for a perfect start to their wedding story.

A Warm Welcome at Ardington House

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the beautiful Ardington House, a Georgian manor with character, charm, and the perfect setting for a spring wedding in Oxfordshire. As a wedding photographer, Ardington House is a dream—manicured grounds, vintage interiors, and plenty of natural light make it a venue that offers endless creative opportunities.

A Four-Legged Surprise Guest

One of the sweetest moments of the day was when Victoria and Michael’s beloved dog arrived for the reception. Tail wagging and bowtie on, he stole hearts and made a perfect addition to the wedding portraits. Including pets in your wedding is such a meaningful trend, and the joy on the couple’s faces during those candid moments was unforgettable.

Wedding Portraits Around Ardington House Grounds

We took full advantage of Ardington House’s stunning gardens and historic architecture. From sweeping lawns to the ivy-covered walls, each backdrop told a different part of their story. Indoors, one of the standout images came from a quiet moment by the vintage sink—a softly lit, editorial-style portrait that brought a timeless elegance to their gallery.

Golden Hour Magic Across the water of Ardington House

As the sun began to set, we were treated to a truly magical golden hour. Heading down to the water’s edge, the scene was straight out of a painting—soft light, warm tones, and the air alive with spring flies catching the light. The reflections across the water, combined with the movement in the air, created some of the most cinematic images of the day. It was one of those rare, perfect moments where everything aligned.

A Day to Remember at Ardington House

Victoria and Michael’s wedding at Ardington House was a celebration full of love, style, and deeply personal touches. From their emotional vows at Dorchester Abbey to those golden hour portraits that felt like something from a dream, this wedding was a joy to capture.
