Stylish Hackney Town Hall Wedding Part 1
Malvika and Jake were such a vibe! I did not realise until we had our consult call that Jake had actually got in touch with me via instagram to see if I was available to capture his proposal to Malvika but I was already booked for that date. Fast forward to their wedding planning and I am so so pleased that they got back in touch. We really fit together so well, their personalities were infections and so warm and welcoming, as we all their friends and family. They decided to have a full weekend of wedding events and I was here for it!
Private vows and first look
For day 1, they decided on a traditional legal ceremony at Hackney Town Hall where they had traditional wedding attire and elegant, stylish florals by Bronze Flower Studio who also styled the flowers for Day 2. I captured their private first look and vows together which they wrote each other, doing this upstairs so that they had the space to themselves. It was so lovely to watch this unfold in silence, without any noise or interruption.
North Atrium ceremony
Next up was the ceremony, which was conducted in the main atrium space. This has such a stunning space as the main wall is a rust metal effect which looked great with the white flowers that they chose. Malvika came down in the lift and was then greeted by both of her parents to meet Jake. This was their legal ceremony with the local registrars who conducted a simple ceremony before they headed on for confetti.
Couple photos and family groups in Hackney Town Hall
It was then time for some drinks as well as couple and group photos. As the main area has so much natural daylight it was perfect to do them inside without having to take everyone outside and interrupt the flow of the reception. As my coverage for this day was quite short I wanted to make sure I was not taking anything away form the days interactions. They were both such naturals in front of the camera, both having such lovely interactions together and just having fun. Malvika’s brief was’ I want to look like being on the cover of Vogue’ and it was so easy to create that vibe with them both. It was then time to cut the cake and say my goodbyes and let everyone relaxe and eat cake. Ready for two days time for ceremony number 2 ay Syon Park.
