Kin House Wedding Photographer — Mollie & Max’s Wildflower Ceremony
It was so amazing to be back in the Cotswolds to one of my favourite venues, Kin House. With its beautiful Cotswolds stone exterior and beautifully decorated internals- it really is a a stunning space. A Kin house Wedding means a mix of modern meets country with its aesthetics. After a bit of a heatwave it was then forecast a rainy few days and unfortunately it was quite stop start for mollie and Max’s wedding day. BUT what is great about this space is that it does not matter as the inside is beautiful and this day really allowed the space to shine. Just after dinner we managed to do a few couple photos outside which was a bonus for the day! As a Cotswolds Wedding Photographer this venue really ticks all of the boxes and is about a 45 min drive in Wiltshire for me which is prefect!
Getting ready photos at Kin House
As Kin House as the most stunning bedrooms and dedicated getting ready spaces for the couple it is really easy to go between the spaces. I did a mix of Mollie and the girls in the makeup room and then Max in the boys in the upper bedroom and then in the bar area for portraits. Next it was time for Mollie to get dressed in the bridal suite. This is perfect as it allows that quiet, separate space form the hustle and bustle of the makeup chair. To really allow a bride to get into the headspace, ready for the ceremony. As well as a gorgeously decorated space- with cream walls and raised bath. We actually had a lovely amount of time for this which meant some fabulous bridal portraits. Thats why it is so important to leave enough time to do all of this. As it meant both Max and Mollie got dedicated time with the bridal party and solo photos.
Garden house Ceremony
Centred by an original Fig tree, the garden house at Kin is stunning. Even on a rainy day, the light available in this space gives such a light and airy feel to the ceremony as well as translating to photographs. Max and Mollie decided on a stunning wildflower set up which felt like she walked down a meadow along the aisle. Framed by a stunning floral arch, with soft tones, they exchanged rings. Next they had the most gorgeous flower petal confetti exit, framed by cheering guests and the flowers. As guests headed over to the drinks reception we just did a quick kiss dip photograph in the arch and then took them over to join drinks reception-ready for their champagne tower.
Champagne tower and group photographs
As they entered drinks reception, it was straight into a champagne tower to kick off the reception. With the florals moved from the cermeony to centre around the table and the soft colour tones. It was time for some mingling and in that time we also did family and bridal party photographs by the fireplace as it was still raining. But how stunning was this backdrop even if we didn’t get to go outside!?
Kin House also handled all of the catering which meant amazing canepes for the guests. I took a few photographs of this- how beautiful do the little cones look? The presentation is lovely and really shows the standard of service that Kin House provides.
Couple portraits at Kin House
Before dinner was called, we took time out to do some couple portraits. Utilising the lovely lounge and nooks with the blue seating. As well as popping upto the bridal suite and staircase. After dinner we also managed to pop outside when we had a dry spell to get the house in the background which was such a bonus considering it was meant to be bad weather all day. But we made the most of it. Which was actually super easy with Max and Mollie looking stunning, enjoying their time together which translated so well to photographs. If couples ever ask me how should I pose? The best advice I can always give is: to be present, enjoy the day as well as each others company. Take the little bits of direction- but make them your own and enjoy the process. Which these guys did!
Kin House wedding breakfast and outfit change
Next it was time to head into dinner. Where the soft palette was pulled through with the florals and the lovely dinner room of Kilvert Hall. With soft cream and green hues. As the light went down, this turned into a lovely warm space with toasts and speeches. The cake cut was also another moment I loved. Instead of just cutting it and moving on, they had such fun with this with eating directly from the cake and laughing together. Which really showed how much joy these two took from each part of the day.
Next it was was time for cocktails at the bar and the first dance. Before Mollie slipped upstairs for an outfit change and little Chanel bag! Entering into cheers and surprising Max. After some fun dancing photos, that was a wrap with photography. What a pleasure it was to head back here. If you are thinking of getting married at Kin House- Book it! It has everything you need under one room. Oh.. and take me along too as your Kin House wedding photographer! I will not disappoint.
