Kew gardens Mandap wedding in the Nash conservatory
A Kew Gardens wedding, with pastel pink ceremony and couple photos in the palm house
Kew gardens is still one of my favourite wedding venues, alongside Syon Park and The Ritz. But Kew Gardens offers a unique space of the glass houses and great light, come rain or shine.
Paav and Meera had a gorgeous day, starting with couple photos before the ceremony so they could fully take in the drinks reception as well as go for an outfit change! It was a super hot day, so they did very well in the warm Palm House conservatory.
Once couple photos were done, I then headed to the ceremony venue at the Nash Conservatory to get details. Which were truly stunning. Filled with Pastel pink hues, highlighted by the sunlight.
My couple really utilised all of the kew spaces that Kew can offer. With drinks reception also taking place in the princess of wales conservatory. This also gave guests a unique insight into such a gorgeous location.
Next it was onto the diner, which took place in the orangery. With amazing drinks, first dance in a new outfit and speeches that moved all the guests with so much emotion. Take a little look at more of the day and details below.
Couple photos at the Palm House in kew Gardens
The light was stunning in the Palm House. one of my favourite glass houses in Kew. As we were doing couple photos at the start of the wedding day, this did mean it was open. So something to bear in mind if you do this earlier as there will be public present. Normally couple photos are done after the ceremony in the Nash, so often the glass houses are closed and you have them to yourself. Even though there were public around, we got some stunning photos and managed to isolate some nice, quiet spots.
Hindu ceremony in the Nash conservatory
Next it was time to head to the Nash conservatory. Which looked picture perfect with pink and cream tones as the light streamed in. I do adore this spot as even in bad weather, this ceremony set up can still look stunning and have great natural light. The ceremony was long, over an hour and so much to capture! But it kept me on my toes. I especially loved Paav helping Meera up the steps in the beginning and the close up details of the necklace going on and the end blessing. Everyone seemed so happy and involved in the ceremony that it was a pleasure to capture.
Drinks reception i nthe Princess of wales conservatory with cocktails
Guests then headed over to the Princess of Wales to enjoy cock and canapés. It allowed guest to wander and see the most amazing plants and foliage that Kew Gardens has o offer. The couple greeted guests and enjoyed drinks before then heading off for an outfit change for the dinner and dancing. Just before their entrance we grabbed a quick 5 minutes of golden hour.
evening party at Kew gardens orangery
The couple then entered to a fabulous atmosphere of guest cheering as they looked at their outfit change. Some guests had also changed to welcome in the evening. I adored the dry ice and coconut shells for the personalised cocktails- it is these little details that really make the event for guests and I love capturing these elements. After speeches they then partied into the night!
