Iceland Wedding Elopement

Iceland has a landscape like no other! With lush green hills, black beaches and moody skies it is no wonder so many people look to head over here to elope! An adventurous love story in one of the most romantic and dynamic landscapes. A lot of our plans changed which is one of the most exciting things with an adventure elopement. It means going with the flow and getting down and dirty with the weather! We had rain, wind and super cold temperatures. We had short windows of times for each location and the changing weather conditions making things ever the more fun!

Black church of Budir ceremony

The elopement at the famous black church of Budir followed by waterfalls, the plane ruins and black beaches this was an adventure like no other! Like many of the elopements where couples look to book a photographer and just elope with just the two of them we kept this styling simple. With a boho dress, ice queen style headpiece and dried flower boutique with cooler tones to match the landscape.

It was then time to head to over to the waterfalls and plane wreck for day 2. As these areas are in different locations it was not possible to do everything in one day without risking making everyone super tired. So it was time to head over to the next area, have some good food and get a good night sleep for an early start for a Am session by the plane and the waterfalls. We were so lucky to get this quiet before a tour group arrived!

Wedding photos at the black beach and blue lagoon

To end the trip, the last spots on our tour was the black beach and a relaxing trip to the blue lagoon to really unwind and have some fun. We took a few photos at the start of the time slot but then allowed everyone to relax. It is so interesting that each place we went to it changes weather, from rain, to clouds, to sun! Even in the space of 10 minutes apart.
