South of France wedding photographer

Getting married in France? As a destination wedding photographer, I have been lucky enough to travel and cover some amazing destination weddings. This year I will be traveling to some amazing places for weddings in 2020 such as Lake Como, Ravello, Tuscany, Sorrento, Cappadocia, Ibiza and Portugal. All flights are booked and I am so so excited!

But what is this post really about? France! There are some amazing places such as getting married in Paris, and being a Paris wedding photographer you can capture some stunning shots in the city of Love! Amazing French Chateau’s with architecture a plenty. In particular I fell in love with the South of France… where you can get vine yards, Chateau’s, farm houses… whatever takes you fancy!

If you have not considered the South of France as your wedding destination.. .then you are missing a trick! It can be the most perfect backdrop to yoor special day, with the french alps, mediterranean seas and the Riviera. You just need me as your South of France wedding photographer to go with you! 😉 It has upto 300 sunny days of the year… so a litlte better ratio compared to the North of France, with the option of going for more of a sunset wedding to really get the party started.

I wanted to list a few of my favourite venues in the south of France and beyond to give you a little taste of what can be on offer!

Chateau De Moissac, I literally took an intake of breath when I saw this venue. Fellow creatives in the industry Mel kinsman and Louise Leaves who are a brilliant hair and makeup artists have both worked here. Based in a hill top village in the Upper Var Provence is a palette for the eyes. Only taking a limited number of weddings and also set for photoshoots, this venue is built on dreams. The staircase caught my eye immediately with a colour palette set for the pages of Vogue and harpers Bazaar.

Chateau De Robernier is a fairytale castle only 40 KM from St Tropez is something Cinderella would be proud of! Since 2006 it has gone through some extensive renovation and brought back to its glory for a wedding venue. Located just outside of the village of Cotignac with stunning local scenery such as the Gorges du Verdon… it really is a sight to behold. Get in quick.. a outdoor dinner set up here would truly be magical…

France wedding photographer

Lartigolle, run by a London couple who moved to France to create a lifestyle and working business… fast forward from 2000-2004 and they welcomed their first client! Now they are a fully fledged business up there with the best and selling out each year as a wedding venue. Their mission is the ‘celebrate life’ and you can certainly do that during your wedding at their venue.

Your South of France wedding Photographer

Getting married abroad can be daunting.. and often it is great to link with a wedding planner. I know many in the UK and Italy and it has been great to connect with Anna Walmsley a wedding planner covering the South of France and Barcelona. Woking often with couples from the UK, it is great to have that helping hand on the day, having her work with local vendors.. a native English she is fluent in French, Spanish and Catalan .. so this is perfect. ..especially if you don’t speak French! She will take the stresses out of the design, planning and co-ordination allowing you to focus on the parts of the wedding you want to! Friendly and creative.. what more could you ask for!
