I was asked to cover the amazing New Years Eve wedding of Brittany and Jeremey ay the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar in Puerto Rico and it was a great trip! I make it a point not to cover weddings over the Christmas and new Year period to have some down time. But after such a hard couple of years with Covid it was nice to get away for a bit of winter sun either side of the wedding day. It required both myself and my partner to cover with the logistics of the day so it meant we both headed out on the trip.
The couple and their family came out from Texas and decided to hire a UK photographer to give them a different style to the usual photographer son the island. And it was amazing to travel over for their day. Over the last 12 months there have been so many enquires to cover weddings further away and not just in Europe. It was normal that Europe was the go to location as it is much closer for Uk couples to get to. But as well as this Texas couple, I have weddings further away in Denver and Seychelles this year which will be amazing! Dont be afraid to hire a UK destination wedding photographer as it means you can take them with you, build that relationship and get exactly what you want.
