oxfordshire-wedding-venue

Georgia and John married at the amazing Ardington House, which is a stunning Georgian Manor house with gardens. As a Cotswolds wedding photographer it really is a photographers paradise. And what was great about covering their day was that this venue is only a 7 minute drive for me so it is the most perfect local wedding venue.

Getting ready at Ardington House

Georgia got ready in one of the main bedrooms upstairs while John got ready downstairs in the basement. There was plenty of space in this stunning house to make sure there was enough distance so they would not see one another. Georgia was dressed in her lovely rope and gifted her bridesmaids, mother and grandmother with presents before putting on her dress.

Intimate ceremony at Ardington House

After getting ready, it was time for John to greet guests while Georgia did her emotional first look with her fathers on Ardington House’s grand double staircase. Time to then walk across the lawn, over the bridge and into their perfect outdoor ceremony. They had their two little mini Daschund dogs for the ceremony and couple photos and then they went off with the dog walker for the rest of the day while they then went to dinner.

Most things at the wedding were hand made by the couple, so it was brilliant to see so many personal details that they had created. They even had light up letters for the end of day champagne pop!

Drinks reception and dinner at Ardington House marquee

Once couple portraits were down in the grounds and the house .It was time to sit down in the marquee which sits in the grounds of Ardington to start their wedding breakfast. Their food was provdieed by Ardington House’s official partner cater Fingers and forks who did an amazing job of managing the wedding timings as well as catering. For the running of the day at Ardington House it is actually the caterer does the organising on the day, similar to Hedsor House.

It was then time for the party. With drinks in full swing and even a shot ski!
