Golden sunlight during Autumn ceremony at Elmore Court

Cotswolds Wedding Photographer at Elmore Court

Elmore Court is such a stunning venue. Set in the Cotswolds it offers such glorious options for ceremony and dinner in a spacious separate building. As well as beautifully decorated bedrooms for prep. It is an award winning, sustainable wedding venue set in Gloucestershire which was such a joy to work at. As a Cotswolds wedding photographer this was such a pleasure to work at as well as venues such as Kin House and Hyde House. You can also find me on Rock my wedding as a recommended supplier.

Getting ready at Elmore Court

With stunning bedrooms it was easy to get some gorgeous photos of Lucia and Jack. Jack got ready in one of the rooms which has the rich, dark woods and light and shadow in the corners. While Lucia had the lighter bridal prep room which gave brilliant light for photos as well as when the sun went in, I was able to create a couple darker options too. Next, it was time for the ceremony!

Wedding Ceremony at Elmore Court

Blue and Boheme created a stunning set of flowers for this Autumn wedding day. With a stunning two arches at the back of the ceremony making it such a beautiful area to be able to frame everything. And when Lucia and Jack said their vows, the sun came out which case such beautiful light over the room. Making this set up even more stunning. When you are choosing a florist and working with them over the ideas for the ceremony, think about the type of impact you would like to create. Is this higher impact at the top of the ceremony but could this affect a photographers angle? Or are you having more drama at the back where this can be framed nicely?

Time for canapés

During the drinks reception often tends to be the busiest time for a wedding photographer. This means lots of candid photos of guests and the couple mingling. Also popping into the sinner room to get detail photos, any family groups and a portion of the couple photos. So make sure your drinks reception is at least 1.5 hours to give enough time for all of these elements while you get to enjoy a glass or two!

Next was time for couple phots. Often one of my favourite parts of the day. Not only because I get to be creative but because it also gives my couple some quality time together. As after all the morning prep, ceremony and drinks/mingling they often have not had chance to be just the two of them together. So it is great to allow them time to catch up.

Elmore Court wedding breakfast

Elmore court has the amazing space called the Gillyflower where you are able to then have your wedding breakfast and party. With plenty of natural light and space to house to seat guests. It is also built sustainably from the grounds material. Lucia and Jack also had singing waiters which really kicked the party off in style.

Golden House at Elmore Court

What is amazing spot for Golden hour! It set just outside of the Gillyflower so it meant that it was super easy to be able to just get the couple and not have to take them very far. Meaning it can only take 10 mins or so to get those super soft, golden light images.
