The Bodleian Library is such a stunning venue. Set in the heart of oxford city centre, it is the most perfect place of city meets history. With stunning architecture and amazing backdrops right outside the door. Vilma and Gordon had an amazing wedding day filled with varying venues. Starting at Weston Manor Hotel where they both got ready with immediate family. Before heading off to marry at Lincoln College where Gordon works. The architecture and amazing floor in lincoln college really adds to a rich and opulent atmosphere for photos.
Bodleian Library wedding reception
Once the ceremony was complete, it was off to the Bodleian Library for drinks, dinner and dancing. It is great that all of these parts of the day can be in once place without moving around once the centre of Oxford gets busier. But you can get the best of both worlds with the lovely indoor space and being able to walk straight out for couple photos along the stunning little streets. We also headed up to the library for some couple photos which was pre-approved to be able to capture the stacks of books where many films were filmed such as Harry Potter.
Bodleian Library evening reception
Once evening kicks off the venue really comes alive. From the lovely up lighters to the clinking of glasses. It was time to start speeches and then head into the first dance and then dance the night away with friends and family. The whole day was lovingly planned by Katie Lou who is a master at planning weddings and specialising in the Oxfordshire area. Once I moved out to the countryside it was great to be able to cover such stunning wedding venues such as Elmore Court, Bodlian Library and Kin House. I am a Cotswold Wedding Photographer and I would love to hear from you.
