Ashridge House Wedding Photography with hot pink florals

Ashridge house is such a stunning venue. With gorgeous gothic architecture, it really is a photographers dream. Natalie and Andrews wedding was planned perfectly by Charlotte Elise Events and had a mix of hot pink and pastel pink florals designed by Hanako florals on the staircase which then got repurposed for the dinner tables. The deconstructed arch stayed on the staircase ready for the macaroon tower cake cutting later in the night.

Getting ready at Ashridge House

Both Natalie and Andrew got ready on site at Ashridge which does make getting ready photos much easier, As I was able to go between them both as well as get some pre ceremony group photos from either side. It was also great to do a first look at bridal portraits in the cloister area of Ashridge before the ceremony.

Wedding ceremony on Ashridge House Staircase

The most stunning part of Ashridge, is their gorgeous internal staircase. It is low light, so if you are thinking of marrying there then you have to be ok with more of the moody vibes, or pay for production to be able to light this naturally for a lighter feel- also think about lighter florals if you want to lighten the space. but Natalie and Andrew embraced the natural space with the natural light that is available there for more of a moody, romantic look. As well as hot pink florals snaking up the stairs. Natalie descended the staircase to then stand with Andrew on the middle part of the staircase to then say their vows. Before walking out to a confetti line within the main section of Ashridge.

Drinks reception on the terrace and Wedding breakfast details

Next it was time for the drinks reception on the terrace which luckily, after quite a few days of rain, these guys were sper lucky for some sunshine. We did some family photos, candid and time for detail photos of the dinner room.

Wedding couple photos at Ashridge House

Next it was time to whisk Natalie and Andrew away for some quiet time to do their couple photos. It is always a delicate balance to get the couple photos you envision, but making sure not to take a couple away from the drinks reception too long. That is why it is important to have 1.5-2 hours for drinks. To make sure there is a nice balance between couple phots, groups and details. We managed to achieve a nice mixture of inside and outside photos and even in the dinner room when they did their first look before the guests.

Wedding Breakfast at Ashridge House

With gorgeous pink florals moved from the staircase to the dinner room, and even roses hanging from the light fixtures- it really was a pink princess romantic dream. With being able to also frame their entrance with a fews of the hanging flowers. It was then time for speeches, good food and even singing waiters to get the party started.

Getting the party started at Ashridge House

Once the dancing has started in the dinner room, the couple lead them into a coctail hour in the staircase area. With personalised cocktails and a macaroon cake cutting before then heading into the first dance and partying the night away!
