A Stylish & Wind-Kissed Primrose Hill Farm Wedding | Heather & Charlie

Heather and Charlie’s Primrose Hill Farm wedding was the perfect blend of countryside elegance, timeless style, and relaxed romance. Set against the rolling Oxfordshire fields, this celebration had it all—from chic bridal details (hello, cape and feather bag!) to a cozy indoor ceremony and golden hour portraits that felt straight out of a dream. If you’re planning a wedding at Primrose Hill Farm or simply love editorial-style countryside weddings, this one’s for you.

Getting ready at Primrose Hill Farm

The morning began slowly in the peaceful surroundings of Primrose Hill Farm’s getting-ready spaces, filled with soft natural light and the gentle buzz of anticipation. Heather wore a flowing modern gown paired with a dramatic bridal cape—effortlessly cool, yet classic. Her feathered bridal bag added a playful touch, and later in the day, sheer gloves made a brief but unforgettable appearance for portraits by the pond. Meanwhile, Charlie and his groomsmen prepared in a main barn, keeping things relaxed with laughter and and black tie.

An Intimate Indoor Ceremony at Primrose Hill Farm

With unpredictable winds sweeping across the grounds, the couple wisely chose to exchange vows indoors which luckily was always the plan—inside the beautifully converted barn space at Primrose Hill Farm. Framed by soft-toned florals and warm wooden beams, the ceremony felt intimate and heartfelt. Guests looked on as Heather made her entrance with her veil behind her—a true statement moment. The mood was romantic and cozy, with personal vows and happy tears echoing off the stone walls. I adored how emotional Heathers Bridesmaids got during the wedding- t was perfect to capture.

Drinks reception in the countryside

Following the ceremony, guests were invited outdoors for a drinks reception overlooking the Oxfordshire countryside. The wind added a touch of drama, sweeping through dresses and veils as laughter and champagne filled the air. Though breezy, the fresh air and open views made it all feel refreshingly natural. Guests gathered in sheltered spots to sip cocktails inside, nibble on canapés, and enjoy views of the grazing cows just beyond the reception lawn—a uniquely rural and utterly charming touch.

Floral-Filled Dinner in the Barn

Dinner was held indoors, where the barn had been transformed into a refined yet relaxed dining space. Delicate florals in blush and cream tones ran the length of the banquet tables, complemented by soft candlelight and neutral linen textures. The ambiance struck a beautiful balance between rustic and elegant—a hallmark of weddings at Primrose Hill Farm. We captured some quick couple photos before dinner where the energy was palpable when they entered. Speeches were heartfelt and hilarious in equal measure, and the atmosphere was one of warmth, love, and celebration.

Couple photos overlooking the pond

We nipped out quickly to capture some expresso martinis themed couple portraits near the pond. Heather wore her striking bridal cape and delicate sheer gloves, creating an effortlessly elegant and editorial vibe. The wind had died down to a small breeze which added a sense of movement and drama to the shots, perfectly capturing the romance of the countryside setting. Adding a touch of fun and sophistication—cocktails in hand, laughter in the air, and a truly stylish pause to celebrate their day.

Golden Hour Dreams, Cape Drama & Espresso Martinis

Everyone gathered back in the main barn for the cake cutting, which took place in the main barn with the start of sunset casting a gorgeous glow over the event. The cake was as elegant as the rest of the day—simple and understated. Then came the first dance, a super fun moment that brought everyone to their feet, the atmosphere electric with joy. From there, the evening flowed into dancing, laughter, and late-night celebration—everything a summer wedding should be.

As the sun dipped low, we stole a few quiet moments with Heather and Charlie for golden hour portraits in the surrounding fields. The soft, hazy light cast a golden glow over everything, giving us that cinematic countryside magic that Primrose Hill Farm is known for. One of the most memorable moments as the wind caught Heathers cape and created such an atmosphere.
