Kew Gardens Wedding Photographer
Kew Gardens Wedding Photography that focusses on timeless imagery with an editorial flare.
Kew Gardens is one of Londons most unique wedding venues so it is a good job I am one of Kews recommended Wedding photographers. Filled with flora and fauna from all over the world, stunning architecture and the most amazing glass houses in the UK. It is no wonder so many of my couples choose this venue to get married in. As a Kew Gardens Wedding photographer I have had the pleasure of capturing weddings there in all of the spaces they offer- From the Nash Conservatory, to Cambridge Cottage and dinner in the orangery. As well as one of the most iconic settings- The Temperate house for a wedding dinner.
Why Kew Gardens is such a unique venue to choose for your wedding day.
Kew Gardens is one of those venues couples have stated they kept going back to after they viewed it. Knowing it ticked all of the boxes. Alongside a few other wedding venues, Kew has always been up there with the efficiency and supportiveness of their staff and their dedication to a couples timeline. They really get the job done! From getting you a buggy to take you around the stunning grounds for your couple photographs to co-ordinating your suppliers. They are so supportive.
As a Kew Gardens Wedding Photographer, I understand how to work your Kew Gardens wedding day to the max. From how the light moves around the space, how it can be beaming through the Nash Conservatory during your ceremony and how to navigate that for the best photographs. As well as where the sun will set over the rose garden and Palm house for the most dreamy photographs. I know exactly when to also head over to do detail photos without missing any of the candid moments of your day.

My approach as a Kew Gardens Wedding Photographer
Natural | Timeless | Stylish
I have been photographing Kew Gardens Weddings since moving to London. And it soon became one of my favourite wedding venues. As it allowed me to be fully creative, while giving couples a natural experience. With the structure of a Kew Wedding it meant it had that perfect blend of a dedicated couple portrait session that you go off in the buggy for. But then the rest of the time it was purely candid and documentary. Rather than directing every moment it allowed me to work discreetly. From drinks reception in the Princess of Wales conservatory that I document naturally. And speeches in the Orangery or the banks lawn where I can weave amongst guest and get reactions. It lends itself to a fully immersive approach and I love it for that.

Planning your Kew Gardens Wedding
When it comes to planning your Kew Gardens wedding I am more than happy to help. I work with couples to finalise their timeline alongside the kew team and caterer. Making sure photography slots effortlessly into your wedding day.
I help you built a timeline. Group photos list if you wish to do them. Advise on best locations for the buggy to take you for your desired time to be away from guests. As well as seating plans to get the best photographs in your chosen dinner space. I also make the most of the light and seasonality changes that your Kew wedding can bring. From gorgeous low spring light. To the height of summer.
Kew Gardens FAQ
Are we allowed confetti at Kew Gardens?
No. You cannot use confetti at Kew. But you are allowed to use bubbles or streamers etc. As long as it is not petals or paper. But do not worry! This looks amazing!
Do I have to have a later ceremony at Kew?
If you are getting married at Cambridge Cottage, then you are allowed to have an earlier ceremony. But if you are getting married at the Nash Conservatory this is a later ceremony time. Typically around 3/4pm start time. But this is great, as it allows for softer lighting, as the Nash can often be in full sun on a hot day. It also means if you go to the glass houses after ceremony then they are normally closed to the public so you get full privacy.
Which ceremony venue at Kew works best for us?
Having captured every wedding location at Kew, I am uniquely placed to help! Let me know what your ideas are and I can tell you the pros and cons to consider for each space. I have done ceremonies at both the Nash Conservatory and Cambridge Cottage. Drinks receptions at the Banks Lawn and the Princess of Wales Conservatory. as well as dinner at the Orangery and the Temperate house which only hosts a limited amount of wedding receptions per year.
Which locations at Kew Gardens should we do couple photos at?
I will always advocate hard for at least one of the Kew Glass houses. As this means come rain or shine you have somewhere covered but stunningly beautiful to do your photographs in. If you have dry weather then the rose garden, King Williams Temple and view across the lake towards the Palm House are always some of my favourite spots. You will get a buggy provided by kew to save walking and we can nip round to all of your favourite locations before heading back to the drinks reception.
Are we able to have food stations?
Yes! I have done weddings before here there have book food stations during the drinks reception on the banks lawn. Such as cocktail bar, oysters and more. Kew would just work with your suppliers for set up and loading bays around the Kew green area.
Are we able to take flowers into the glass houses?
No. If you take photographs in the glass houses then any florals you have such as bouquet or button holes would need to be left outside. This is to stop cross pollination to the species they have.
